A captivating Grade II listed townhouse, Pelham House is found in the heart of Lewes, within easy reach of both Brighton and London. It is considered one of the most historically significant properties in Lewes, first built in the 16th century by lawyer and MP, George Goring. Passed down through his descendants until 1649, it changed hands among several families until it was finally sold by East Sussex County Council in 2004 to a group of four families who converted it into a hotel and conference centre.
Blending the original history with contemporary style, Pelham House has become one of the most prestigious event venues in East Sussex. Boasting 29 exquisite bedrooms that are carefully designed to create a unique and tranquil space, your guests can enjoy breathtaking views and exceptional amenities to ensure a restful and unforgettable experience.
If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience along with your event, there is a seated dining capacity of 150, with carefully crafted, bespoke menus available. You will also have the opportunity to make use of both the onsite bar as well as several versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces.
Just 30 minutes from the M23 and a 5-minute walk from Lewes train station, Pelham House is easy to find, with disabled access for those with mobility issues.
Whether you’re planning a product launch, gala dinner, away day, team building activity or an exceptional Christmas/summer party, this hidden gem offers a unique and stylish curation of Georgian and modern features lined with private terraced and walled gardens.
Pelham House offers the use of its 29 bedrooms, preparation space, indoor and outdoor event spaces and onsite bar, creating an ideal haven of privacy and celebration for your corporate event.
