Join us at one of our historic venues for this thrilling Da Vinci style challenge. A Cryptex is a cylindrical, hand-held vault that holds a secret message. Its body is made up of concentric, rotating dials labeled with letters that must be positioned correctly to spell out the password and reveal the secret inside. So, channel your inner cryptologist and get ready to solve our cryptex enigma in this unique and exciting treasure hunt.
To retrieve the cryptex your team must work together to follow a trail of clues and locate certain objects before completing a series of challenges. Like most of our team building activities, we’ve designed our games to get your teams collaborating and working together. Each one will focus on different skills and test your team to problem solve under time pressure.
Once your team have gathered all of the clues, completed the challenges all that’s left is to decipher the code and spell out the password using the dials of the cryptex. Once lined up correctly they unlock the cylinder revealing the location of a hidden cache of prizes somewhere within the venue. But as with any Events Made Simple activity, you’ll be racing your colleagues to be the first to reach the secret location and claim the prices.
If you’re planning a team building event and are looking for an activity that’s unique and will get your team working together to solve problems, the Cryptex may be the perfect activity for you. Whilst this activity can work well at any venue, it comes into its own at one of our historic venues such a manor houses, stately homes or one of the castles or cathedrals we work at.
Indoor or Outdoor Activity
The Cryptex works best when we are able to utilise both indoor or outdoor spaces within our venue. The setup time is 1 hour, 30mins and this activity typically runs for around 1 hour, 30mins.
As a standalone activity this can accommodate groups of 10-40. For greater numbers this can be included as part of a larger activity package or could be adapted to suit so please get in touch.
