In this increasingly complex and fast paced world, businesses are being asked to do more with the same resources or less, making it more important than ever for us to get the most from our teams. Time is precious! And in our view, the status quo of endless enquiry forms, annoying sales calls, impossible budgets and a lot of delay just isn’t good enough. So, we set our minds to finding a better way to organise, plan and book events and this is the result.

We like nothing more than to make in-house event organisers look good, and so have built Events Made Simple to provide you with the tools you need to make your next conference/team away day the best one yet… but without all of the usual stress, time and effort.

We are Ben and Natasha, husband and wife team and co-founders of this innovative new corporate event planning portal.

Meet Ben.

Ben is an experienced event manager but, what really sets him apart from others in his field is his curious mind, creativity and determination to see a project through, all of which make him a fantastic inventor of unique and innovative team building activities.

He started out as a freelance instructor working for some of the UK’s largest team building companies as a provider of country sports such as clay pigeon shooting and archery. This work introduced him to the world of team building for the first time, but he was always disappointed with the quality and finish of the activities offered by his competitors. Motivated by a desire to deliver something better, Ben set up his first business in 2008 and began creating bespoke activities all of which are designed to impress, inspire and engage the audience.

People often ask where he gets his ideas, but the truth is Ben gets inspired by all sorts of things, from something he sees on TV to a holiday abroad. For example, a trip to a medieval castle in the South of France inspired our ‘construct a catapult’ challenge which has proved to be extremely popular with our corporate clients.

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery and we often find that our activities are copied by competitors. However, the finished product is difficult to replicate as a result of the expertise and attention to detail shown by our team of specialist joiners, electricians and metal workers who work hard to ensure that every activity meets our exacting standards.

Meet Natasha.

Natasha is a qualified lawyer, but please don’t hold that against her. She has a passion for process and loves nothing more than to make things which feel complex and overwhelming, simple and straightforward.

At Events Made Simple, we know that the worst thing about organising an event is the requirement to juggle so many things at once. To succeed you really need to possess superhuman organisational skills and the ability to keep track of all of the small details; from dates, times and venue specifications to managing budgets, technical requirements, catering options, itineraries and attendees. But it really shouldn’t be so difficult.

Natasha has spent the last 14 years advising technology businesses about commercial contracts and customer journeys and has used this knowledge and experience to help Ben to reinvent the way that venues and activity providers quote for corporate events. By automating previously manual processes the Events Made Simple team can deliver an exceptional customer experience quickly and effectively every time.

She also really cares about people and wholeheartedly believes in Richard Branson’s quote “Take care of your employees and they’ll take care of your business”. As an experienced people manager, Natasha is a regular contributor to our blog, sharing her advice on topics like employee engagement and building effective teams.
