The hotel boasts 82 bedrooms with stylish furnishings and stunning views. It also offers an award-winning spa complete with 25 metre pool and thermal spa, state of the art gym and two excellent restaurants. The hotel’s meeting and conference rooms can cater for 10 to 400 delegates, offering our clients all the benefits of a city business venue in rural Shropshire. Located just off the A5, Lion Quays is perfectly situated for fast access from Chester, Wales, Shrewsbury and Manchester.

The team at the Lion Quays Resort share our passion for high quality service. To ensure you have an event to remember, all corporate bookings include a dedicated conference host who will be on hand throughout your event. The hotel’s conference rooms include the Downing Street themed Cabinet Rooms as well as the larger Lion, Garden and Montgomery Suites. The largest and most prestigious meeting space, the Lion Suite, can host 400 delegates and overlooks the picturesque Llangollen Canal. Plus, its access to the hotel’s beautiful, private walled gardens makes it ideal for team building events. Alternatively, the beautiful Garden and Montgomery Suites are perfect for up to 100 delegates and for smaller events the Cabinet Room can cater for 10 to 50 delegates.

When it comes to food and drink, the Lion Quays Resort excels itself. From meeting refreshments to buffet lunches and gala dinners, the hotel’s talented chefs will cater to your every need. The hotel’s main restaurant, the Waterside, uses the very best locally sourced produce to provide a delicious, varied and seasonal menu.  Tea, coffee, biscuits, and a buffet lunch are included in each of the delegate packages. Plus, any guests attending a meeting in the upstairs cabinet room will also benefit from complimentary access to the hotel’s ‘sweet cabinet’ stocked with hot and cold drinks, pick 'n' mix jars, an old school popcorn dispenser and slush machine. Delegates staying the night can relax in one of the hotel’s stylish bedrooms many of which boast stunning balcony views or their own terrace overlooking the Oswestry waterside and the Llangollen Canal.

“We used Events Made Simple for an important team building afternoon. It's a very new team with members located across Europe. Lots of laughing mixed with some serious moments. Even the most sceptical member of the team admitted at the end of the afternoon that he had enjoyed the experience! The team are now enjoying closer collaboration and ideas sharing. Thanks Ben for helping us to get to know one another better and start to develop a closer co-operation for the future.”
